Ecosystem

Rationale

Cross.social aims to create an economically autonomous social platform. To achieve this, the platform has developed a strategy for generating income that replenishes the ecosystem fund. The majority of tokens spent on the platform are transferred between users, but specific scenarios result in tokens being sent to the ecosystem fund. Revenue generated from these channels goes into the ecosystem fund, which is controlled and distributed by the DAO community. The DAO community will reach a consensus on how to use the fund to support the Cross.social platform.

Income-generating channels

The following income-generating channels contribute to the Cross.social ecosystem fund:

  1. Recommendations - When users recommend their page, profile, article, or up-vote their content, the paid tokens go to the ecosystem fund.

  2. Emojis - When users post commercial Emojis on their content, the tokens spent on emojis are directed to the ecosystem fund.

  3. Super comment - When users interact with their content using a super comment, tokens are directed to the ecosystem fund.

  4. Supporting author - When users support themselves as authors, the tokens are directed to the ecosystem fund.

  5. Anonymous posting and commenting - When users use the paid anonymous posting/commenting function on their content, the paid tokens are directed to the ecosystem fund.

  6. Interacting with your own poll - When users create a paid poll and interact with it, tokens are sent to the ecosystem fund.

  7. Memberships - All income generated by users purchasing premium accounts goes into the Cross.social ecosystem fund.

  8. Disabling commercial Emojis - Premium functionality that disables all commercial Emojis on your content. Spent tokens are sent to the ecosystem fund.

  9. Disabling all recommendations - Premium functionality that disables all recommendations on the platform. Spent tokens are sent to the ecosystem fund.

  10. Enabling "do-follow" links in your posts - Premium functionality enabling "do-follow" links in your posts. Paid tokens are sent to the ecosystem fund.

These income-generating channels allow Cross.social to become a long-lasting, autonomous social platform where users can enjoy online activities and earn tokens. The ecosystem fund ensures the continuous development and improvement of the platform, benefiting both content creators and users alike.
