How can a user earn tokens?
Cross.social provides users with various opportunities to earn tokens by engaging with the platform. Users can participate in different activities and earn tokens for their involvement. Here are some ways to earn tokens on Cross.social:
Answering polls
Answering polls: Users can create polls to gather opinions or insights. Participants who answer these polls will receive tokens from the poll's reward pool. The more tokens allocated to the reward pool, the more likely users will participate quickly.
Tokens distributed for answering polls are paid by the poll creator.
Reading notifications
Cross.social allows users to send notifications to a wide audience. Sending notifications requires a token pool, which is then distributed among users who open the notifications. This rewards users for their interest in the sent notifications.
Tokens distributed for reading notifications are paid by the notification creator.
Reading a direct message
Cross.social has two inboxes - one for messaging friends (users on your friend list) and another for messages from users who are not your friends. Cross.social enables users to send direct messages to others who are not on their friend list, with the sender paying tokens for the message. If the recipient reads the message, they receive tokens as compensation for their time and interest.
Tokens distributed for reading a direct message are paid by the sender.
Creating content and interacting with your content
Cross.social values content creators and has designed its system to support and reward them. As a content creator, you can earn tokens through various forms of content interaction:
Recommendations: You receive tokens when another user recommends your post or article.
Special Emojis: When users use special emojis on your post, article, or discussion, you receive tokens corresponding to the value of the emojis.
Upvoted Discussions: You earn tokens when a discussion you started under any article or post gets upvoted.
Tokens paid by interacting users are sent directly to the content creator.
Being supported as an author
Cross.social enables users to support authors and content creators directly by:
Supporting you as an author of an article.
Supporting you as an author of a post.
Supporting your personal profile.
Supporting allows users to send tokens directly and instantly to each other, providing authors and content creators with a stable way to create and express themselves online while being rewarded for their work.
Tokens from a supporting user are sent to the author directly.
Being contributed to by followers
Cross.social allows users to create internal, closed communities with various subscription levels, requirements, and access levels. The owner of the community acts as a moderator and sets the joining requirements and subscription price. This feature enables users to create exclusive communities where content can be shared for free or for a fee. Tokens from subscribing users are sent directly to the community owner, fostering content creation.

Becoming “Trending”
When your post is liked and shared at least 100 times, you will receive tokens for creating engaging content and a "Trending" badge (an NFT) to increase your post's visibility. A user can only receive one “Trending” badge, this badge is not transferable.
The reward is paid from the reward pool.
Becoming “Viral”
If your post goes beyond trending and is liked and shared at least 1,000 times, you will receive tokens for creating exceptional content and a "Viral" badge (an NFT) for even more visibility. Similar to trending, there is a one-time per 24 hours limit for receiving tokens for a viral post. A user can only receive one “Viral” badge, this badge is not transferable.
In other words – if two of your posts, by some miracle, become “Viral”, you will receive tokens as a reward for the first post.

Referral
You will be rewarded with a fixed amount of tokens for successfully inviting friends to join Cross.social, with no current limit on the number of friends you can invite.

Staking
Users can stake tokens for a fixed amount of time and receive a yield as a reward. This passive income opportunity is highly recommended.
The yield is paid from the ecosystem pool.
Selling physical and digital items on the market
Cross.social features an integrated marketplace where users can exchange physical and digital items (such as NFTs) for tokens. This allows users to receive tokens directly in their wallets for items they sell.
Tokens are transferred from buyer to seller.
